Hi, I'm Amanda, Chief Executive at Your Place. 

I joined Your Place as Chief Executive in March 2018. I had previously worked at a youth homelessness charity for 22 years, where I was CEO and was largely responsible for the diversification and growth of the charity, from its grassroots beginning to now operating across five counties.

I am a Homeless Link Board Member and am Chair of both their National Advisory Panel and Ending Women's Homelessness Grants Panel. I am also a Board member for a local charity One Newham, and I have held a number of other trustee and committee roles at both national and local levels in the health and housing sectors.

I am passionate about making a difference and developing excellent services to achieve meaningful outcomes for people using support services.

About Your Place

Your Place where homelessness is solved one person at a time. 

Your Place is much more than somewhere to call home. We work one-to-one with people experiencing homelessness, helping them to regain their self-belief and rebuild their lives. We can’t end homelessness for everyone overnight. But we can solve it one person at a time.

We run two main services from our base at 81 Barking Road - our core hostel (which accounts for approximately 80% of our bed spaces) supporting people experiencing homelessness with low to medium support needs, as well as our intensive support service for people who need extra help on their journeys.
